I am too young to have ever written a letter to H. P. Lovecraft. Even August Derleth who passed away when I was just discovering Sword & Sorcery comics. But there were great writers in the 1980s too. I was lucky enough to share two letters with Karl Edward Wagner, the author of the Kane series as well as many superb horror tales. I wrote the first letter in my quest for information on Cthulhlu Mythos stories. Looking back now, I wish I had asked different questions, less about Mythos and more about his Sword & Sorcery. Or about small press publishing. Alas, the follies of youth.
